We are very excited to be in a position where we can expand our Thrive team at Chetwoods.
To support our expanding range of projects we need a motivated and enthusiastic Assistant to help our Thrive team.
This will be a paid summer placement for a minimum of 2 months. It is a great opportunity for a second-year architecture student to gain experience with an emphasis on sustainable design.
The Chetwoods approach focuses on three key areas that we believe are necessary to achieve the best possible design: Studio, Works and Thrive. Thrive works with our Studio (intelligent and instinctive design) and Works (technology and delivery) teams to create well-designed, clever architecture that enhances environmental and human wellbeing.
While Chetwoods is an architectural firm, we do not believe that we should operate solely within the boundaries of buildings. Thrive also acts as an independent consultancy, applying holistic thinking to help clients reduce their environmental impact and gain recognition as pioneers in their field. Our Thrive Director is one of the first five architects in the UK to become a WELL Accredited Professional.
We are looking for someone who:
Is a people person
Is passionate but pragmatic
Has a keen interest in sustainable design, materials and construction
Is well organised and good at time keeping
Has InDesign and PowerPoint experience
This role will involve tasks such as:
Taking minutes during Sustainability Workshops
Supporting a pre-deconstruction audit of a building in Surrey
Sustainable design and materials R&D
Local materials analysis
Presentation assistance
The role is mainly remote working but may involve some travel between offices and clients.
