Black Lake ist eine aufregende Wohnanlage mit 70-Wohneinheiten, die wir für die Woodbourne Group entwickelt haben. Es besteht aus 53 Häusern in 6 Haustypen und 17 Wohnungen.

Das Projekt liegt auf einer Brachfläche in West Bromwich und nur 30 m von der U-Bahn-Station Black Lake entfernt. Es schafft eine neue nachhaltige Gemeinschaft, die dem lokalen Wohnungsbedarf angepasst ist.

Der Entwurf der Haustypen soll  moderne Lebensweisen, die vielfältige Familiendynamik und die sich entwickelnden zukünftigen Lebensstile reflektieren.Das System bietet 100% Ladepunkte für Elektrofahrzeuge und Fahrradstellplätze für alle Wohn-Einheiten. Damit werden aktuell gültige, nationale Standards für die CO2-Reduktion erfüllt.

Der ‚Secured by Design Gold Award‘ und der ‚Building for Life Award‘ sollen verliehen werden.

Chetwoods hat das Black-Lake-Projekt von der initialen Planung bis hin zur Fertigstellung/ Übergabe vor Ort im Frühjahr 2019 begleitet. Alle Zieltermine wurden eingehalten.

Chetwoods were appointed by client Woodbourne Group on the redevelopment of an industrial infill brownfield site to create a new sustainable community with 70 new homes in West Bromwich. The high-quality and sustainable housing scheme will compromise of 53 houses and 17 apartments.

The design is centred on the evolving and diverse family dynamics, modern modes of living and can adapt to future lifestyles. The scheme provides 100% electric vehicle charge points, cycle storage for all the units, solar PV panels, rainwater harvesting, as well as being well within the current nationals standards for carbon reduction, and is in line to receive Secured by Design Gold Award once completed.

Chetwoods have led the design process as lead consultant working closely with Woodbourne Group to evolve the scheme.
Early consultation was very well received with planning permission being granted in August 2017. Start on site is currently programmed for January 2018.
