Chetwoods wurde von Genting UK Ltd mit der künstlerischen Bauoberleitung  für die Mischnutzungsentwicklung der Resorts World am NEC in Birmingham, beauftragt.

Ziel war die Sicherstellung/Einhaltung der
vorgeschlagenen Ausführungsdetails durch das beauftragte Bauunternehmen und die Qualität der ausgeführten Arbeiten vor Ort.

Resorts World besteht aus 18 Bars und Restaurants, 50 Einzelhandels-Geschäften, einem Kino, Casino, Spa und Luxushotel.

Das Investitionsvolumen für das 7-geschossige Gebäude mit einer Fläche von 45.000 m2 beträgt 150 Millionen US-Dollar und bietet Platz für mindestens 12.000 Besucher.

Das NEC ist ein national und international bekannter Knotenpunkt für Handel und Konferenzen sowie ein Top-Veranstaltungsort für Freizeitaktivitäten. Es ist hervorragend an das Straßen- und Schienennetz angebunden und liegt neben dem Birmingham International Airport.

Chetwoods were engaged by Genting UK as Architectural Design Guardians for the mixed use development of Resorts World at the NEC in Birmingham, monitoring compliance of contractor’s proposals and the quality of works on site.

Resorts World consists of 18 bars and restaurants, 50 shops, a cinema, casino, spa and luxury hotel. The seven-floor 538,000 sqft building cost £150m to build and can accommodate at least 12,000 people at any one time.

The NEC is a nationally and internationally recognised focal point for commerce, trade and conferencing, as well as a top venue for leisure pursuits. It is well connected to road and rail networks, as well as lying adjacent to Birmingham International Airport.
